18.04.2023 Ballet Magnificat! in Israel: Holocaust Remembrance and Heroism Day

On April 18th, more than 450 members of our organization gathered for a touching event dedicated to Holocaust Remembrance and Heroism Day. We held a ceremony in memory of the 6 million Jews who died during the Holocaust, and in particular the 2.7 million Jews who died in the Soviet Union. This part of the event ended with the distribution of letters of appreciation to our colleagues who accompanied us throughout the year.

We were lucky to see the ballet “HIDING PLACE” from the unique group Ballet Magnificat! of 14 wonderful dancers from the USA. The performance tells the story of two Dutch sisters who are looking for ways to help their Jewish neighbors and friends escape Nazi officers. The plot is based on the story of the heroism of the ten Boom family, who were later caught and sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp. “This inspiring story gave us hope for the future,” said one of the participants in the event.

We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts to the Helping Hand Coalition for their great contribution to the organization of this event. We intend to continue to improve the well-being of our members and are grateful to all the guests and invitees who honored us with their presence.
