Each action and contribution is very important in the lives of Holocaust survivors!
Through the Yad LaEzra Association, which worked in collaboration with the Jerusalem Society of Holocaust Survivors, a team of professional optometrists provided Holocaust survivors with personalized eyeglasses and sunglasses.
At the beginning of the month, a special team of experts from the United States arrived in Israel to provide free eye exams and personalize glasses for Jerusalem Holocaust survivors. Examinations were held within 12 days, during which specialists helped more than 300 people.
Yakov Lieberman, chairman of the association, shared: “We are talking about 25 people a day. This initiative will dramatically improve the quality of life of survivors who need new, high-quality glasses but cannot afford them financially. Any such assistance is welcome and fulfills the mission of the association. We’re glad we were able to provide it.”
